Shares of HT Media lost 14.5 percent in intraday trade on Tuesday to touch a new 52-week low of Rs 75 on the National Stock Exchange.
HPC (Mauritius) sold 70,12,748 equity shares at Rs 75.03 apiece through block deal that was worth Rs 52.6 crore.
It was holding 71,12,748 shares or 3.03 percent stake in the company as of June 2013, out of which the shareholder left with one lakh shares.
However, Amansa Capital Private Limited, Reliance Regular Saving Fund Equity Option and SBI Life Insurance Company bought 13,94,591 shares, 25,00,000 shares and 20,00,000 shares at Rs 75 apiece each, which were worth Rs 44.2 crore.
Amansa Capital and SBI Life Insurance raised their shareholding in HT Media, which were holding 2.7 percent stake and 1.07 percent stake as of June 2013.
The stock closed at Rs 82.25, down 6.27 percent from previous close.
